Hi, I'm artist Jen Beaudet Zondervan, from Southern California, USA. I started this blog in 2009 as a way to share my art journey and meet other creative souls. It became my therapy. I use oil paints with a palette knife and bold brush marks. My work is both, passionate and sensitive; inspired by nature's beauty. I first called this blog My Life As a Starving Artist. I have another website JBeaudetStudios.com

I'm sure lov'in a lot of what you've been doing since I checked in last time. You're coming up with some really good stuff for the 30/30 series. Am enjoying the seascapes, new girls and French scenes. Thanks for sharing your progress on the challenge.
Oh wow I love the water colors. So graceful and beautiful.

Hi Vicki! I'm so glad you're enjoying what I'm coming up with! I'm having fun (with a little pressure…but that's a good thing) It's allowing me to explore different palettes and work on my style. The watercolors are also a refreshing change for me.
Jennifer:)
Hi Natalie! I'm so happy to hear you like the watercolors. I had several years of watercolor courses in college and was very seldom happy with the outcome. I think my practice with oils has helped. I still need to work on the colors though because they're so different than oils.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Jennifer:)
Gorgeous! So many people love blue and yellow together, I see it in so many tablescapes. I bet this gets snatched up in a second! :)

Oh my GOODNESS, Jennifer. You are truly amazing. I cannot believe you are doing these gorgeous paintings in one day! Immense talent runs in your veins! Love the florals sooooo much. Can't you open your own gallery? Susan
